Cotton to be used together with the Tubular nets (Embuchar) for the fattening of the mussel.
During the reintegration phase of the mussels, the seed is placed in the cotton tubular nets using a loading tube. Thanks to its vegetal composition, its fiber is biodegradable, so the cotton disintegrates after 15 days, shortly after the mussels have wound themselves, like ropes, around the stakes with their byssus.
